Animal Farm - Effects of Revolution

In the story Animal Farm by George Orwell, i had made a research of the effect of revolution in Animal Farm. Orwell plots his story to be divided into two stages of revolution. The first one is the revolution lead by Snowball and the other one is lead by Napoleon. These two stages of revolution had effects all the animals. Snowball’s revolution brings more good effects while Napoleon’s revolution brings in tyranny and tragedy. There are both good and bad effects of a revolution as being explained in the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell.
Firstly, I will talk about the good effects of revolution lead by Snowball. Among the good things that Snowball made are: - Snowballs made it compulsory to all animals to learn reading and writing. Snowball also creates a blueprint of Windmill. Snowball spread the news of their successful revolution to ignite the other animals to rebel.

On the other hand Napoleon brings inequality is that all decisions regarding the farm will conduct by the pig special committee and himself. All the animals also have had a hard year enslaving themselves in order to complete the windmill. Napoleon also dares to kill other animals that are disloyal to him. Napoleon had slowly violated the original Commandments.

The animals’ revolution ended in this stage as the original Seventh Commandments ended up with just one that is all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. Above explanations, I can conclude that a revolution can brings both good and bad depending on the leader. Unfortunately as illustrated in the novel, the tyranny of pigs never ended.

  1. this story try to educate us and give us time to reflect our self either we behave like the pigs or not. for me it is bad to be the pigs who is selfish and suppress other animal for their own benefit.
